A sailing yacht is inherently an ideal platform for team-building events since team-work is required from start to finish of the day's cruising! Sailing in Scotland is a great option for your team-building event whether you need a ‘low key’ get together of a ‘multi-site’ project team or a more formal training event. In the latter case you may wish to use your own training professionals working alongside our experienced skippers, focusing on issues such as leadership, inter-personal skills and decision making, or consider using the services of our independent specialist consultant. Whichever type of event you have in mind, our corporate yachting services are here to help you meet your team-building needs.

Sometimes simply learning, as a group, is a very important initial building block. We can train your staff in the technical aspects of sailing via our RYA recognised sailing school. As an example, you might start off with theory classes for your group or groups, hosted in your own business environment, in our meeting room or even on board one of our large yachts. Such classes may lead to RYA Day Skipper theory qualification being awarded.

Following that you may wish to get the group(s) learning as a team about the practical aspects of sailing on Scotland’s beautiful west coast through one of our RYA recognised practical courses. The sense of a partnership achieved amongst the students and skipper by the end of such courses is remarkable and lasts well beyond the actual time they are under the watchful eye of the sailing instructor. Whether your group is large or small, this is a remarkably good, yet simple and cost effective way of starting to build critical alliances within your business.

For other groups the learning process within our sailing school may be too formal and they might prefer a simpler day with informal tuition on the water, a nice lunch at anchor and maybe solving a ‘nautical treasure hunt’ on the way back to the marina base.
